What Is a 360° Photo & Virtual Tour?
A 360° photo is a spherical panorama image with the added element of interactivity (that can exist only in the online world). Also referred to as VR (Virtual Reality) photography, virtual tour photography, and spherical photography, this technique can capture a location from multiple angles (and not just a single perspective). Using specialized equipment, I can create a virtual tour of literally any scene. The purpose of 360° photography is to give the viewer a “behind the scenes” experience as if they were present in the very center of the action. Thanks to 360° photos, you can explore a scene or room in so many ways: you can rotate the scene in all directions (to the sides and upwards-downwards), enter and exit rooms, zoom in and out, read texts, watch videos, and even click links.
